My Story: A Heart for Arizona, Built Through Grit and Grace
Raised on a 9.26-acre family compound surrounded by the love and chaos of cousins, aunts, and my grandmother. Losing my father at five left a hole in our family, but my mother filled it with strength, always wearing a smile despite our struggles. She worked tirelessly to provide for me and my half-sister, teaching me that love and perseverance can carry you through anything. My uncle, a true mentor, brought me into construction and plumbing, where I learned to build with my hands and solve problems with my head—lessons that still guide me.
As a kid, I fell in love with the sky. At 14, I was piloting ultralight aircraft, and by 16, I was one of the youngest to solo a helicopter. That thrill of flight fueled my passion for precision and possibility. At 17, I married my high school sweetheart, but we parted ways in our early 20s. Those years brought heavy losses for us both—my mother to ovarian cancer when I was 21, and my first wife’s mother soon after. Grief shaped me, but it also taught me to keep pushing forward with heart.
My career became a canvas for my drive. I dove into electronics, training installers nationwide in complex system integration and designing electrical systems for Navy SEAL vehicles, elite Border Patrol units, ICE, and rescue operations.
I built and raced off-road vehicles across Arizona, Nevada, and Baja, learning to navigate tough terrain with strategy and grit. I’ve built businesses in electronics, construction, and government surplus, once turning over two thousands tons of steel from a Colorado National Archives facility into a hard-earned profit single-handedly. I‘ve Supplied General Motors Corp in Texas as a tier 1 supplier. Done projects for electric vehicle manufacturer, and built supercars. Ive grown many successful companies with exit strategies that have greatly paid off. I’ve also stumbled—lost businesses, faced failures and legal challenges —but each fall taught me how to rise stronger.
For over 21 years, I’ve been blessed to build a life with my wife, many of those years in Maricopa, we have raising our daughter, stepdaughter, and son, Jimmy Jr. In 2014, I started a performance and accessory business, blending my love for racing with innovation. But in 2022, my world shattered when Jimmy Jr., my son, was killed at an event due to many systemic failures by promoters the government and the Bureau of Land Management to name a few. As a father, I fought through grief for answers, pushing for safety reforms that saved lives despite silence from elected officials. That struggle showed me what representation should be—accessible, accountable, and real.
Now, I’m running for Congress in Arizona’s 7th District to serve Yuma, Nogales, Tucson, Avondale, and every corner of our communities. I’ll bring transparency with a mobile app to connect directly with you, ensuring your voice shapes my work. My staffed offices in Yuma, Tucson, and D.C., plus a mobile congressional office visiting rural areas year-round, will make me reachable. When Congress is in session, I’ll be in D.C.; when it’s not, I’ll be here, flying back on weekends if needed. My heart’s in this—24/7, no matter the hours, just like in my businesses and racing.
I’ll donate $154,000 of my $174,000 salary because service isn’t about wealth; it’s about giving back. I’ll fight for border security, economic growth, and families like mine. I’ve faced loss, built dreams, and never quit. Let me be the representative Arizona’s 7th deserves—one who listens, fights, and delivers with heart.
